Affordable First-Generation iPhone SE Can Still Be Operated Smoothly Using Latest Version Of iOS

Every year Apple releases a new iPhone for iPhone lovers with an upgraded processor and better camera. And people all around the world prefer to upgrade their iPhone each time a new model is released and surprisingly, the older version of the iPhone still functions with the latest versions of iOS. But to find out how good does this works, you got to keep reading.

This discovery seems to be relevant with iPhones only because you See both the iPhone 6s and Samsung Galaxy S6 were released in 2015. But if you compare them by running a test you will find out that iPhone S6 that was released with iOS 9 can still be operated with iOS 9 while the Samsung Galaxy S6 that was released with Android 5 just entirely vanished after two updates with Android 7.

Since many claims could resurface saying that iPhone S6 will continue receiving iOS updates, and if it does, it is understandable that it won’t be functioning as efficiently as the latest models of iPhone. Therefore, we decided to find out how efficient an older model of iPhone will run with the latest software for you.

As you may remember the release of the most affordable alternative of the iPhone 5s by Apple in 2016, with the features, design, and display same as the iPhone 5s, although iPhone SE had an A9 chip and 12 Megapixel 4K camera as the iPhone 6s. This phone was released when Apple did not have a product with a borderless design, and this so-called biggest iPhone of its time had a screen of 5.5-inch 1080p display.

You’d be surprised to know that this first-generation iPhone is still usable with iOS 15. You can do basic tasks after updating your iPhone for example, using a social messaging app, playing online games, surfing the internet, etc. and you might not notice any delay with the speed at which these apps would function. But obviously, it won’t be as fast as when using the same apps and websites on the latest iPhone models.

If you’ve managed to update your iPhone SE with the latest version of iOS, then, congratulations you now have access to some of the same features that are present in iPhone 13. Now, your freshly updated iPhone SE has Focus mode, notifications with the latest design, spotlight with a better result, latest emoji, improved privacy, and security setting exclusively brought by iOS 15.

You can now freely download most of the apps from the App Store, operating just fine with the A9 chip. The comparably slow speed with which the apps run might irritate you because the first-generation iPhone SE only has 2GB of RAM, but regular users may not even notice them. Unfortunately, features like Live Text you won’t see on this phone.

The battery life can be an issue, but the good news is that you can easily replace it with a new one to grant your device a new life.
