LinkedIn to Help Freelancers and SMBs With New Features

There are large numbers of people all around the world who aren’t working steady jobs but are instead selling their services and skills as freelancers since this is something that has the potential to give them a lot more freedom in their lives. Consulting, contract work and the like are all similar to freelancing, and it is becoming a popular career path for people to take since they know that it has the potential to help them earn more without having to answer to a corporation.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that LinkedIn is well aware of the needs of freelancers which is why the site has a Services Page that allows both freelancers as well as small to medium businesses to prominently display any and all services they are capable of providing. This can make it easier for someone that’s looking to hire them to make the most of what they have to offer and it can also increase the likelihood that the freelancer in question would be able to get work in the first place.

After a recent update, users will now be able to link their Services Page not just with their personal profile but with their company profile as well. This is something that can benefit SMBs in particular because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing them to advertise their services in a way that would be hard to miss should anyone give their profile a visit.

The update can greatly improve a freelancer or business’s ability to make themselves seem as credible as possible. There is a lot that can be gained from having a diverse social media presence, and updates like this are going to make LinkedIn an even more desirable hub for people that are looking to create some kind of a professional network. The feature is only usable on desktop for now and it is currently being tested out among a few select users, but it will be quite exciting when it gets rolled out properly.
