YouTube Launches Media Kit for Branded Content

YouTube has allowed a lot of content creators to launch relatively lucrative careers, and the video streaming platform has leaned into this by attempting to create tools that can help creators make content that is a lot higher in quality. There have been a lot of changes in YouTube as of late many of which have made content creators concerned for their future but one upcoming new tool might just make it a great deal easier for content creators to earn income by allowing them to connect with various brands who would be more than willing to sponsor them.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that this tool is called the Media Kit. It will be available through Brand Connect which is a YouTube platform that allows creators to find brands for sponsored content and the like. The Media Kit can be accessed through brand connect, and the way that it works is that it allows creators to create an easy to read summary of their followers that they can present to brands as part of their initial pitch which may help them get the revenue they require to keep their careers afloat.

Advertisers will obviously want to know what kind of followers a creator has because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up enabling them to ascertain the benefits of working with said creators. Most brands have had to do deep dives on their own time to figure out this type of data, but with Media Kit creators will be able to do this for them and make it much easier for them to obtain the data that is necessary for them before they can sponsor someone or the other.

The Media Kit can be easily accessed by going to monetization on your YouTube channel and then entering the Brand Connect section. Bear in mind that this feature is only available to people that are involved in the YouTube partner program, and right now it is in the testing phase so only a select group of creators would be able to end up accessing it with all things having been considered and taken into account. However, once it gets a wider rollout it could change the way YouTubers earn money and potentially entice a lot more creators to give the platform a try.
