WABetaInfo reveals the Two-step verification plan of WhatsApp for desktop/website version

After updating the users about chat wallpapers and transferring chat data from Android to iOS devices, WhatsApp is now coming with another one related to 2FA verification to desktop and web.

A considerable increase has been seen in various kinds of scams and security breaches last year, and still, it's expected to get hacked through scammers even in more numbers. Cybercrime security agencies did their best practices in 2021 to get over it. However, the usage of WhatsApp is pretty high, that's why its users' accounts got hacked many times. To tackle the fraudulent WhatsApp is working on an improved Two-step verification program to tighten security and provide multi-device support through the users while opening the app on their laptops, personal computers, and web versions no matter whether the mobile is placed nearby to it or not that feature gives extra protection.

Even though a few years ago, WhatsApp allowed letting the users open the application through Face identification and Touch ID, the messaging giant is now working on to provide the Two-way authentication method to web users as well. It is all because many accounts have got scammed, and these updates help the users never get trapped in the future.

As per WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned messaging app wants to build a security feature that could be used everywhere, including Web and desktop users. Through this, users can easily enable and disable the two-step verifications.
