Here’s What the New WhatsApp Update for iOS Includes

WhatsApp’s new versions often bring exciting features that many users would want to end up taking advantage of, and it can be easy to figure out what these new versions might be incorporating by checking out the TestFlight Beta Program which is where most of these features are tested out before they are rolled out to a wider range of consumers. As per WABI, version 2.22.1.71 is the latest version that is currently accessible for users.

The upcoming version is going to feature some changes with regards to notifications. Previously, when someone mentioned you in a message that they send to a group chat, you would get informed about their mention but would not get any actual information regarding what the message contained. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that this will change with the latest version and you will start seeing more information in this regard.

WhatsApp will now start showing you what the message contains when you receive a notification because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up preventing you from having to open the group chat just to see what someone is try to say directly to you. Users will now also be able to see a similar level of information when someone replies to a message they sent in a group chat.

Being a part of a WhatsApp group is something that most people tend to do, but it can often make your notifications really messy. Hence, many users turn notifications off, but they would still want to know what mentioned messages and replies contain. This update will make it possible for them to do so, and while the feature is still only in the beta testing phase, it’s likely that it will receive a wider rollout sometime in the near future.
