WhatsApp Calls to Get a Brand New Interface

One of the most revolutionary aspects of WhatsApp had to do with people being able to use it to call one another without having to spend any money at all on calling over telecom networks. WhatsApp calls are useful because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up increasing connectivity between people, and the company has recently been trying to improve it in various ways.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that one of the upcoming changes that can be noted based on its inclusion in WhatsApp beta’s is a brand new calling interface. The redesign is pretty much just an aesthetic update, but it still does a fair bit to modernize the interface and make it more visually appealing for group calls and the like in particular which is highly ideal.

A notable change is the shift from blue hues to a black and grey color scheme. Also, the number or name of the person that you are calling along with their profile picture would now be located on a translucent grey card on top of the black background instead of being located on the background itself. This is a much streamlined design and the curved edges of the card are also more or less in line with modern design preferences.

While this change isn’t exactly major, it is definitely an indication of where WhatsApp calls might just be headed with all things having been considered and taken into account. There are a lot more changes that would probably be coming, and now that users can use WhatsApp to join a call after it has been established it would be much easier for them to maintain connectivity instead of having to reestablish a call every time it ends up being disconnected for one reason or another.
