Is Microsoft Edge Becoming Full of Bloatware?

Microsoft Edge has shaken up the browser world to an extent, and the tech giant is trying to add more and more features to its browser in order to make it more appealing to consumers. The latest feature that has been added is a games panel that is supposed to serve as a central location for all of your various gaming needs, and it is the latest in a long line of heavy additions.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that this latest panel, as per u/Leopeva64-2, has started to raise concerns regarding bloatware. Microsoft might be making a grave error by adding so many features to its browser because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up slowing computers down which is something that the vast majority of users would be upset about to a degree.

For most users, the best thing to have in a browser is for it to be lightweight and ensure speedy performance. While some users might like certain additions if they add value, the games panel is definitely not an example of that with all things having been considered and taken into account. It pretty much just takes you to the MSN games page and does not give you any features that you may not have seen before which will factor into most people’s decisions.

The thing that made people switch to Edge in the first place was that it seemed to be a great deal more lightweight than Chrome, but it appears that Microsoft is making many of the mistakes that it had previously been guilty for. These mistakes could cost it its status as a premier browser provider although it might also make some room for its numerous competitors to start gaining back a bit of their lost market share as well as for newbies to enter the fray.
