iPhone 13 Pro Gets Fourth Place Ranking in DXOMark Camera Test

Every time Apple releases a new iPhone there is inevitably going to end up being a fair amount of buzz surrounding it because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up spurring a lot of rapid consumer buying with all things having been considered and taken into account. A big part of this buzz often involves the camera since each new iteration of the iPhone gets a better camera than its predecessor and it turns out that things are no different when it comes to the iPhone 13 Pro.

The DXOMark camera test is a major way for people to ascertain the kind of value that a camera can bring to their lives, and the iPhone 13 Pro has received a total score of 137. This puts it in 4th place, and while it missed out on the top spot by a large margin it still ended up in the top 5 which is a strong indicator that Apple has the right idea when it comes to cameras and the like.

The score is an average based on three separate scores, namely those for pictures, videos and zoom. The iPhone 13 Pro has an improved score when compared to last year’s model, but Apple is still lagging behind in the zoom department with a score of just 76. This is better than last year though and its excellent picture score of 144 and an admirable video score of 119 means that the average comes out to 137. The top spot in the list went to the Huawei P50 Pro with the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra coming in at number two and these two phones got scores of 144 and 143 respectively which shows just how much Chinese companies are dominating the smartphone market especially when you take cameras into account.
