Even a temporary ban in a region can hurt the whole business of TikTok globally

A new leaked document shows that the decision to ban the use of TikTok in the U.S, for even a shorter period of time, will destroy the business of TikTok throughout the world.

TikTok is a Chinese video-sharing App used for social networking by ByteDance. In this app mostly the users upload videos where they do lip-sync and dancing on different songs and make videos.

According to recent stats, the growth of TikTok is strong in the U.S, as in 2018, there are 14.6 million active users of TikTok in America and in 2019 the number increased to 26.7 million. In October 2019, the number of active users of TikTok reaches to 40 million during this situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The threats of U.S ban is continuously reducing the number of TikTok active users each day. From the last two months, 40 to 50 percent of the Americans stopped using TikTok. This number can reach 80 to 90 percent if the bell of ban keeps on ringing for more than four months. Furthermore, if this situation continues then it is going to be fatal for the TikTok survival in America.

According to TikTok, 60% of the videos uploaded on the App were made by most Americans so the company can’t survive for a long time if this ban continues. There is a risk of reducing the number of audiences by TikTok because most of their big stars are from the U.S.

Recently, Trump issues an order to ban all the latest downloads of TikTok but still, the App is working in the U.S. According to the executive order, the video hosting app will be banned from the U.S due to different national security issues. Their main concern is regarding data security and data privacy.

According to TikTok, there are 100 million active users of TikTok in the U.S, and approximately half of these users use TikTok each day based on the social media networks. Before this U.S. ban of TikTok in July, the TikTok had added approximately 424,000 new daily active users in their community each day. But due to this ban the TikTok not only lose their active users in America but the revenue of TikTok also dropped $10 million from last month.

Still, the Commerce Department said the prohibitions will be lifted up if TikTok resolves the U.S. administration concerns regarding the national security by November. And it is very important for the TikTok to regain their active users from U.S.
