Apple's Update of iMovie For iPhone, iMac and iPad Comes Power-Packed with Filters and New Features

Moving on from the major update in their video editing software Final Cut Pro X, Apple has also upgraded its evergreen app iMovie as well for iPhone, iMAC and iPad. As a result, there are new filters, 25 new soundtracks and much more for the iPhone and iPad version whereas iMovie on the Mac also has new filters with improved integration options as well with iOS.

As the update has been released in two parts therefore here is a detailed release note of the iPhone and iPad version of iMovie first:
  • A hand-drawn look of your videos with 3 new filters: Comic, Comic Mono and Ink
  • There are now 25 new soundtracks to choose from and the genres include action, chill, and sentimental that can adjust on their own to match according to the length of your movie
  • Improvements in the issue of preventing the viewer from updating after duplicating the photo in the timeline
  • Redo is more reliable and improved now for editing a trailer
  • More performance and stability improvements.
iMovie for iMac has five new filters along with the support to import projects from the iOS. There are also more highlights which are stated in the release notes of iMovie’s update for iMac below
  • Make your movies look “hand-drawn” with 5 new filters: Comic, Comic Mono, Comic Vintage, Comic Sepia and Ink
  • You can also now import iMovie for iOS projects and it will also have support for Comic, Comic Mono and Ink filters
