The Coronavirus Pandemic Has Lead to Higher Revenues for 2/3rds of Apps

While the coronavirus pandemic has been catastrophic for a lot of different sectors and has made the world economy suffer in ways that hadn’t been seen since a hundred years ago when the Great Depression occurred, it is important to note that a lot of different things are happening in this regard that are quite different from what you would expect. Indeed, in certain areas companies are reporting higher revenue than ever before which is to be expected due to the reason that a lot of people are changing up their day to day habits in order to reflect the kind of changes that they are having to make to their lifestyles.

According to a study conducted by the marketing analysis firm AppsFlyers, about 65% of apps have reported an increase in their revenues over the past month or so. A big part of the reason why that is the case has to do with the fact that people are staying at home due to lockdowns and the like, and this has lead to them using their phones a lot more than might have been the case otherwise. The fact of the matter is that there is only so much social media you can use, at one point or another you are going to want to end up doing something a little bit different and this is where you might end up downloading a wider range of apps than might have been the case otherwise.

Streaming apps, health and fitness apps as well as shopping apps have all seen an increase in revenue which reflects the behaviors of people that are stuck at home with nothing to do and also can’t really go out to exercise or to buy things which is why they would want to download apps for these purposes.
