Coronavirus is Making People Use Snapchat More, Here Are Some Trends Being Seen

Snapchat is a popular social media app among youngsters and the fact of the matter is that there are a lot of ways in which using social media can help people stay connected with the rest of the world so it is pretty understandable that under widespread lockdowns caused by the coronavirus people are using this service more and more. Snapchat is seeing increased usage as well and this is why the social network decided to shed some light on the trends that it has noted among people using its platform all in all.

Video calls are now more common with Snapchat seeing a 50% increase in the usage of this feature. This is pretty understandable due to the reason that people are unable to meet some people that they are quite used to hanging out with, and this is causing a lot of problems. Video calls can help you talk to people and also see them which can be an enormous comfort, which means that people are obviously going to be using this feature as much as they possibly can at the end of the day.

This isn’t the only feature that is seeing increased usage. Lenses are being used far more often than before as well, and a big part of the reason why that is the case has to do with the fact that people don’t have a lot to do when they are stuck at home and this might make it difficult for them to pass the time which is why they would look into some of the more enjoyable features that Snapchat has to offer.

These trends will explain why people are turning to social media so much which is a phenomenon that is unique to the way the world works right now.
