Android Users will now be Able to Directly Share Movies and Shows from Netflix App to Instagram Stories

Netflix users will now be able to share content on Instagram Stories, as announced by the video-streaming site. The feature is now live on the Android app of Netflix.

With the latest app update on Android, users will be able to share movies and TV shows on Instagram Stories. Integration of Instagram Stories in iPhone app has already been introduced by Netflix at the beginning of this year.

To avail, this feature, open a movie or TV show on Netflix app and press the ‘Share’ button. A list of platforms on which users can share the content is shown, select ‘Instagram Stories’ option. A cover of that movie or show will be shared on Instagram Story.

After selecting the Instagram Stories option, Netflix app will direct users to Instagram app on the device and let make personalized changes to the cover art, adding stickers, write on it, etc. Once the changes are made, users will be able to set privacy settings, either to post Story for all followers, close friends or select specific users.

Stories that last for 24 hours will have a “Watch on Netflix” link on the title page will also be available to go to Netflix app.

Netflix Android version 7.9.0 build 21 34223 now has the Instagram Stories option and may not yet be available to all, as it is still being rolled out through server-side update.

A press note released by the company says that users will be able to share their favorite shows and movies with Instagram followers. They will also be able to add GIF or pop in the quiz to ask followers about what could be your favorite character in the show.
