Facebook Is Bringing Little Changes To Posts Layout In The News Feed

Some interesting layout changes are on the way as Facebook is aiming to improve the overall appearance of news feed for its users. With recent developments, responding to posts and keeping an eye on what your friends like will become more easy.

Social media app researcher, Jane Manchun Wong has shared the screenshot of Facebook posts layout in the news feed, that is still going through the testing phase.

According to Wong, Facebook is testing an emphasized version of comment box in its news feed. The current layout shows like, comment and share icons at the end of every post, in which like and share buttons are designed to respond immediately (i.e. right on spot) in the home feed, while, if a user tap on comment icon, Facebook opens that particular post in a separate pop-up/tab, and then allows users to comment on it. However, comment icon's new design will help users save some fractions of seconds by allowing them to directly comment from the home feed.

This feature can come in handy for Facebookers who frequently start conversations on posts by other users and pages, and for those who like to mention their friends in the comments while scrolling the content.
Along with that, if any of your friend likes something, you will also get to see their profile pictures below the post-card instead of the names. Which is a clever psychological hack, also known as "social proof", that Facebook is planning to implement to increase engagement on the social media platform.

While these are indeed minor changes to go by, still these features can enhance the overall experience of social media giant. Facebook has been on point with most of the user interface requirements and it seems like there is no stopping to make it even better.
