Reddit Surpasses 1.4 Billion Video Views a Month“The front page of the internet”, also known as Reddit is now dishing out more than 1.4 billion video views a month. As per a report released by the company on Tuesday, the site highlighted its continuous growth in their popular interview series “ask me anything.”

The video upload feature was officially launched in August 2017 and garnered 1 billion monthly views within a month. By the end of November, the numbers exceeded 1.4 billion. According to statistics, users uploaded more than 400,000 hours of video that is up 38% from the beginning of the year.

Moreover, the news-sharing website saw more than 330 million users per month in 2018 who altogether viewed more than 14 billion pages every month. The users have also shared some 153 million posts and 1.2 billion comments to date.



Notably, the most-upvoted post on Reddit was the one about Sinclair Broadcasting’s practice to make local news anchors deliver scripted opinion pieces. Additionally the single post about “Avengers: Infinity War” received more than 74K comments while the “Ru Paul’s Drag Race’ gets more comments than the “Game of Thrones” subreddit.

Above all, the Reddit’s “Ask me anything” (AMA) interview feature is gaining a lot of success with more than 1800 sessions this year. The most prominent personality to be included in the AMA feature was Bill Gates whose interview was not only the most upvoted but also the most commented one.
