Opera’s Android Browser Gets Built In Cryptocurrency Wallet

Bitcoin has taken the world by storm, so much so that it has become one of the most widely discussed topics in the world. It has become such a worldwide phenomenon that a wide variety of other cryptocurrencies have also been launched, many of which have become very popular indeed. Opera, a popular if underrated browser, is going to legitimize it some more by adding a cryptocurrency wallet that people can use if they buy ether along with it. A wallet built into a major web browser is a pretty big step forward for cryptocurrencies in general, though it should be noted that this wallet will only allow you to store Ethereum at present.

Opera announced this development at a blockchain event that was being conducted in London. This feature is currently only available to people that are using Opera on an Android device. It is currently unavailable for people that are using an iPhone. It is ostensibly adding this feature to make it easier for users to trade Ethereum, which is widely considered to be one of the biggest cryptocurrencies in the world after the monolith that is Bitcoin.
"The Opera browser for Android now features crypto wallet integration and Web 3 support. What this means is that with the newest version of Opera, you will now also gain easy access to Web 3, the exciting internet of tomorrow.", announced Charles Hamel in a blog post.
One thing that should be noted is that Opera started testing this feature out quite some time ago. However, the sudden drop in cryptocurrency values across the board might have given the creators of the browser pause for some time. That being said, the validity of cryptocurrencies is still as strong as ever.

The rise of Bitcoin has created a demand for unregulated online currency that only works through blockchain technology. Hence, it is understandable that Opera will be moving forward with this update, especially since it is going to have a significant impact on the current status of the cryptocurrency market.
