The VP of Facebook’s public policy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Richard Allan said that this is only the beginning and the platform is committed to monitor all the actions.

On the other hand, Alex Schultz, Facebook’s VP of data-analytics said that the amplification of all the negative stuff on the platform is essentially due to unhealthy condition of Syria which allows users from all parts of the world to vent their comments on Facebook.

It is pertinent to mention that there were some categories; like revenge porn, harassment, privacy breaches, suicidal posts and the likes, which were not included in the report. Upon commenting on the absence of these issues, Schultz said that Facebook is still looking for ways to categorize these subjects which might be addressed in the near future.
