Microsoft’s CEO Confirms 30% of the Company’s Code Was Produced by AI Software

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently made a shocking admission in front of the world about how 30% of the firm’s code was produced using AI software.

The news broke during an explosive chat where he sat down with tech billionaire and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg at this year’s LlamaCon Meta Conference. The figure was revealed when Zuckerberg questioned how much the company’s code is made using AI today.

The CEO replied by saying his organization saw mixed results in regards to AI code across various languages. However, the greatest progress made was towards Python and less in C++. As per the CTO of Microsoft, he expects 95% of this code to be produced by AI by the year 2030.

When he asked the same question to Zuckerberg, the Meta CEO replied by stating he had no idea how much AI was used to produce Meta’s code. The news comes after we saw Microsoft’s archrival Google share its earnings call last week.

CEO Sundar Pichai didn’t hold back with the facts and figures, highlighting how AI was making more than 30% of the organization’s code. For now, we’re not sure which parameters these tech giants are using for measurements of what is produced by AI and what’s not. Therefore, it’s best to take the replies with a dash of salt, as per the experts.
