40% Used Paid Ads, 37% Used AI Tools to Scale Content in Hypergrowth Companies

Adobe Express has conducted a survey which reveals strategies companies use to achieve hypergrowth. Many American companies have achieved this hypergrowth in the recent past – which means that their annual growth rate was more than 50%. Such a high growth rate shows that only effective strategies were used, and the companies kept updating their strategies over time.

The survey comprises 1,000 American marketers working at companies that have experienced hypergrowth in the recent years. According to the survey, the companies allocated 15% of their annual revenue to content creation, and most companies kept on increasing their budget for content creation and scaling. About 50% of participants agreed that a talented team was also responsible for such a high growth.

Along with these, creative strategies were important too (45% stated); having and retaining loyal customers also played an important role in a company’s success (41% stated). And a high demand market for their products or services as per 39% participants and having digital marketing strength as per 37% participants were crucial too for hypergrowth.

The use of key tools for content creation and marketing also had its impact on companies' hypergrowth. 40% said that they had used paid advertisement platforms for marketing, and 35% also used creative design tools for their content. The use of AI and social media has been important for most companies as per the survey. 34% participants used social media scheduling tools for their content, and 33% used AI-driven content creation tools for the same purpose. So AI is already playing a crucial role for companies even in its initial phase.

Not only the creation of content is enough, but the scaling of content production to meet the demand while maintaining quality is important also. The survey reveals that 37% participants employed AI content tools and 33% used analytics platforms for the scaling purpose. About 31% were using social media scheduling tools for the same purpose. And collaboration tools and graphic design tools were used by 30% and 28% companies respectively. Other than these, there are other tools as well. It shows that various available tools were used to scale the production of content. This also means that the companies spent a lot of money.

So what content creation strategies will be the best options for the rest of 2025? 45% companies favoured AI-driven content as the top trend in 2025, and only 30% favoured community-driven content. Cross-platform content integration technique was also supported by 30%. In video format, the short-video form, which has become a popular choice among users across social media platforms, was favoured by 29%. And only 28% were in favour of collaborative tools for remote teams.

Data indicates that AI specialists would be the most popular role in content creation. Because of this, 57% participants agreed that the role of AI specialist will become a priority in content creation. Their importance in content creation will exceed the importance to be given to creative writers, whom 54% favoured. It will surpass even strategists, whom 53% picked as the role to be given priority in content creation in 2025.

Hypergrowth of these companies was not without facing issues. Almost 45% participants revealed that they faced a huge challenge in maintaining quality of content. Stress and burnout was a constant complaint according to 40% participants. And 36% said that fulfilling a demand on time was a great challenge for them. 25% also faced the issue of staff shortage. So this hypergrowth achieved by the companies is the result of sheer hard work.

This survey gives content creators a lot of insights regarding content creation. As the insights reveal, the best usage of AI for content creation has given some companies an edge over others in performance. AI tools and specialists will gain even more importance in 2025 and the upcoming years. Therefore, content creators must invest in AI for better results, scaling, fulfillment of demands and quality.
