Google’s Gemini Chatbot Might Get Innovative AI Video Creation Capabilities

Google might soon be giving its popular Gemini chatbot the chance to get more creative with time through unique video creation capabilities.

This means it won’t only be limited to creating pictures but also produce shorter video clips depending on the specific text description of the user. Now, as per the latest report from Android Authority, we have a small indication of how things might work.

There are some possible restrictions as Google’s experimental offering gets near to a release. As shared by Android app expert AssembleDebug, the new offering had a few references to unreleased video generation tools under a name Toucan.

More investigation spoke about specific entries seen in the code that give rise to different clues in terms of how the feature could function, like hints about limits on the number of videos produced each day. This code also shared how every video might take one to two minutes. This implies how every video has serious computing power and will be necessary to produce them. Moreover, there might be some text strings inside the company’s app code that entail more details about high quality text through Toucan, which is the latest experimental model for generations. All you need to do is describe ideas, and it can roll out something each time you ask them.

So we don’t have a lot of details on how exactly this works. But Google’s latest AI Video Generator has plenty of people talking in terms of how it could work. It might be a specific kind of AI-based video creator instead of outputs for general purpose AI.

It similarly implies that this app will only produce Toucans through text-based input instead of producing them via inputs from still pictures or videos. The fact that there is a daily limit showing up means there is plenty for Google to offer to those having the paid tier of Gemini Advanced.

This means it can buy credits for more generations. AI video generation is generally quite expensive and that’s why many available options right now, like Kling and Hailuo AI, operate through this paid means. There are some small limits to free generations enabled in this period.

For now, we’re just waiting for Google to share more about the Toucan Video generation service. It’s a wait and watch game to see if and when that happens. It’s going to be interesting to see if it gets rolled out to other users. For now, there is proof of continuous development which is always a great sign that it’s preparing for a widespread release.
