AI has taken over the world and many businesses and industries are already incorporating AI in their workplaces. Many companies are confident that they can keep up with the change AI is bringing but there are still some companies, who are struggling with AI adoption because of poor IT infrastructure and untrained workers. According to Cisco’s AI Readiness Index, 13% of the organizations are ready for the change AI is going to bring, which is a 1% increase from the same survey last year. 8,000 business leaders of large companies with 500+ employees were surveyed. The survey found that most companies do not have an infrastructure that can adapt to AI and many companies claim that using AI can lead to an increase in their workload.
In another survey by Databricks, 85% of the business executives say that they use AI for at least one function, only 22% said that they are confident that their IT infrastructure can support it. Only 37% of the respondents said that they have costs, skills and data quality to implement AI.
A Capital One survey shows that 87% business leaders say that their data infrastructure is ready for AI implementation at a large scale, yet, 70% of the respondents also said that they are currently experiencing issues with data ecosystem and it takes hours to fix them. There were also some business leaders saying that they have strong data cultures (35%). Only 55% of the leaders admitted that they are fully familiar and ready with their AI strategy.
