Here’s What’s Coming in the Next WhatsApp Update

WhatsApp has been working on several new features because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up finally making it on par with its less popular but technically superior competitors. Beta testers have found an interesting new feature that could potentially be a part of the next big WhatsApp update, and while we don’t currently know when this update might get rolled out it is a pretty exciting one so let’s discuss what it offers.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that this new feature that WhatsApp is working on will allow users to undo message deletion. Deleting messages for everyone is a feature that WhatsApp introduced quite a long time ago, but in spite of the fact that this is the case the undo option has not made it to users as of yet. It’s fairly common for WhatsApp users to accidentally delete messages, so it’s great that WhatsApp will now be allowing users to recover these messages.

The confusion between messages that you delete for yourself and ones that are deleted for everyone can often cause users to choose the wrong option. This new feature might help reduce the likelihood of such accidents with all things having been considered and taken into account. This might not be the most dramatic feature that WhatsApp has developed as of late, but these updates are best when they tackle small scale problems that users would only notice once they are solved.

This may very well be one of the most popular updates that WhatsApp has put out this year. It remains to be seen when it will get rolled out, but it will be interesting to see how this changes the trajectory of the app’s future. WhatsApp is quickly becoming Meta’s flagship product, something that might help it after the inevitable decline of Facebook. Indeed, this predicted downfall might be what led to the name change itself, since it allowed Meta to become separate from its failing product that started this whole saga.
