Google To Jump Into Web3 With New Crypto and NFT Roles

The main priority of virtually every organization that is currently working within the tech industry is to try and predict and capitalize on the next big innovation that is going to change the manner in which everyone lives their day to day lives. Web3 is one of the most important things for such tech companies to focus on because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up decentralizing the internet and potentially improving it in a wide range of ways.

Google is trying to dip its toes into these waters as well. While a decentralized internet might not be all that profitable for a company that has been focusing so much on centralization these past few years, there are certain aspects of Web3 that the company seems to want to get into. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that NFTs and Cryptocurrencies are crucial aspects of Web3, and this is where Google’s main focus might lie.

Google’s subsidiary YouTube is trying to hire people that can help it enter the NFT arena, which might be an indication that the company intends to take Web3 very seriously indeed since it is quite a revolutionary concept that requires a lot of innovation before it can be fully implemented. YouTube is looking for a new product designer as well as a director of product management, and experience with NFTs is going to be a big part of what lets someone or the other score this kind of job in the company.

Many YouTube creators are already buying and selling NFTs, so it makes sense that YouTube would want them to do things like this on their own platform. Google is also looking to hire a sales engineer, with crypto experience yet again being a mainstay of their overall list of requirements with all things having been considered and taken into account. The corporation is clearly cognizant of the demand for blockchain tech and it is taking steps to make the most of that trend.
