Users Between 12 and 17 Prefer TikTok to Instagram, New Survey Reveals

It was not all that long ago when Facebook was the most beloved social media platform in the world, and Instagram was its subsidiary that appeared to appeal more to the younger crowd. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that both of these platforms have ended up losing a great deal of their credibility, and it turns out that that has a lot to do with the rise of TikTok because quite a few younger users are preferring it to Facebook and Instagram for a wide range of reasons that we are about to get into shortly.

A survey conducted by Forrester has revealed that users that are between the ages of 12 and 17 often prefer TikTok to Instagram because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up exposing them to a much more positive environment with all things having been considered and taken into account. These users find TikTok to be a friendlier and more wholesome place, and that’s something that could pose to be a huge problem for Facebook as well as Instagram because most people are quite aware that neither of those platforms are known for being wholesome to any extent at all.
Facebook recently spoke about the important of appealing to younger users and the like, and suffice it to say that the social media platform will have to end up doing quite a bit in order to find a way to recover some of the ground that they have lost. A good number of Facebook users are starting to move away from the platform, and the thing to note here is that TikTok doesn’t really have to do much to obtain users in that age range because they are flocking to the platform organically.
