Google bids adieu to the old search console

Google is officially closing down the old version of Search Console and the webmasters who do try to access the old version will be automatically redirected to the new Search Console.

However, it has not yet been able to provide a 1-to-1 replacement for every old tool and report in Search Console.

These include:

· Remove URLs tool

· Email preferences

· Web tools

· Crawl stats report

· International targeting

· Google analytics integration

· Data highlighter tool

· Messages report

· Robots.txt testing tool

· URL Parameters tool

· Crawl rate settings

Hillel Maoz from Search Console team claims that its team is working on protocols to make the above-mentioned tools and reports accessible on the new Search Console as well. However, the migration will take time and users should not expect immediate move.
"Thank you for working together with us on making the web better - and see you at the new Search Console! If you have any feedback, let us know through the Webmasters community.", explained Webmaster Central Blog team.
Google paid its share of tribute to the old Search Console by having a group photo of its team in front of the previous interface. You too can say ‘goodbye’ by posting your memories with the old Search Console on Twitter with the hashtag #SCmemories.
