PewDiePie’s YouTube Rewind 2018 surpasses the official video: Gets major views

Sorry YouTube, PewDiePie’s 2018 rewind version received more likes than your videoPewDiePie, YouTube’s most subscribed star recently released his own offering for the YouTube Rewind 2018. Surprisingly, the video saw instant success and received 17 million views within 48 hours of its release. The video also received 6.3 million more likes than the official Rewind 2018 video that has 2.4 million likes.

Additionally, the official YouTube Rewind video has 14 million dislikes while PewDiePie’s Rewind received 28 thousand dislikes.

This year, YouTube Rewind saw a substantial amount of backlash from the viewers and ranked it as the most disliked video in the history of YouTube within a week of its release, breaking the record of Justin Bieber’s “Baby.”

YouTube viewers also found the Rewind video more focused towards the investors and lacked the actual rewind of the previous year.

In response to YouTube users, Felix Kjellberg, commonly known as PewDiePie recorded his own rewind in defiance of the official rewind.

So far, PewDiePie’s take on the Rewind 2018 has received a lot of acclamation by the fans. In fact, the dislike ratio of the PewDiePie’s version shows that his version is far more watchable and definitely more approved by the viewers when compared with the original.


Nevertheless, YouTube did not include PewDiePie in its official Rewind video. For those who are not aware, this is the second time YouTube's most subscribed channel was not a part of Rewind since 2012.
