Google Search’s New Feature Can Improve Your Pronunciation

Let’s face it, all of us struggle with pronunciations on a regular basis. The fact of the matter is that no matter how good your English is, the language is often so convoluted and the origins of the words that we use are so diverse that mispronouncing things is an inevitability. Google has always been a source of knowledge for people, and the fact of the matter is that the search engine frequently puts effort into helping people improve various aspects of themselves.

It seems like the next project that Google is working on might just help you improve your pronunciation. This is because of the fact that Google has been seen testing a new feature that shows you how to pronounce words correctly. If you search “how to pronounce” followed by a word that you might be having difficulty with, you will see a card at the top of the search results. On the left side of this card would be the pronunciation written out in simple English, allowing you to sound the word out a bit. There will always be a button you can press to hear the pronunciation. Moreover, to the right of this card is a picture of a mouth. This picture will show you the lip movement you have to make in order to pronounce the word correctly.

This feature will also allow you to hear pronunciations from both British as well as American accents, thus making it so that you can get the kind of experience that you might be looking for. This will help you learn the differences between accents as well. It is currently unknown when Google will be fully rolling this feature out, but it is sure to be a huge success in our increasingly globalized world.
