Facebook Is Currently Testing A Downvote Button

The social giant Facebook is currently testing a ‘downvote’ button for flagging inappropriate comments. The feature is being tested for a small set of users in the U.S. on a very limited public page posts. Upon clicking the downvote button on a particular post, Facebook will be able to evaluate the nature (whether fake, hateful, false or insulting) of the post/comment.

It is pertinent to mention that this is not a dislike button. However, this downvote button is probably the closest to it.

This is how downvote button will look like in a post:

Upon tapping the downvote button, it will hide the comment besides presenting the user with three different options of reporting like ‘Offensive’, ‘Misleading’, and ‘Off Topic’. As a result, Facebook would measure the comment.
