These Steps Will Protect Google Chrome Users From Spectre Vulnerability

On 3rd January, security researchers discovered couple of chief software vulnerabilities – Meltdown and Spectre – which can essentially affect plenty of systems to steal the private data and information of the users.

The protection in terms of a hardware is seriously costly. However, there is an alternate for chrome users which is extremely easy to execute.

Termed as ‘Site Isolation’, it helps in protecting the system from malicious and untrusted websites. It is an additional layer of security which is quite easy to enable as well. To enable it:

- Go to chrome://flags/#enable-site-per-process

- Tap on ‘enable’ on ‘strict site isolation’

- Restart your browser

That’s it and now your system is greatly protected from any possible malware attack!
