  1. It still amazes me even in 2013 when there are companies out there are either not using social media at all or don't know what they're doing and do the wrong things on Facebook and Twitter.

    You see companies blasting out a dozen lame tweets in 5 minutes and ticking off their users rather than scheduling their posts. You see companies buying fans from the types of companies listed at BuyFacebookFansReviews rather than creating super high quality content that people want to share. You see companies starting a blog and posting in it for a week or two and then giving up right away rather than focusing on crafting content that benefits their customers as well as them in the long run.

    The key has always been, and will always be having some empathy. If you create content that people want, if you treat others the way that you want to be treated, this will always lead to success in the long run. That's what more businesses need to do in order to succeed.
