Meta Reminds Users That AI Interactions Will Soon Shape Content and Ads

Meta has been sending emails to users in recent weeks to remind them of its upcoming Privacy Policy change taking effect on 16 December 2025.

In the latest notice received by a DIW staff member, the company reiterates that it will start using people’s interactions with Meta’s AIs to personalize content suggestions and advertising across its platforms. Meta says the update is part of its ongoing privacy policy adjustments.

As Meta moves toward deeper AI integration, users may want to review the upcoming policy update to understand how their activity will be used for personalization.
