A large majority (97.4 percent) of apps in the Apple App Store account for a mere 7.6 percent of consumer spending

A recent study by App Annie indicates that the majority of apps in the Apple App Store account for just 7.6% of consumer spending. In fact, a whopping 97.4% of apps fall under this category – as per the report based on in-app earnings of 2019.

The report also highlights that around 560K apps are falling below the $1 million annual thresholds. At the same time, a very small percentage (i.e.: 2.6%) of developers accumulate for 92.4% of consumer spending above the $1 million marks.
