Spotify Kids Gets New Parent Control Feature

The media that our kids end up consuming on a regular basis can have quite a significant impact on how they end up behaving when they grow up because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up shaping their beliefs and opinions in a really big way. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that kids can be exposed to a lot of harmful content online which is why it’s so important for parents to be able to have some control over what their minor children end up consuming on the internet.

Spotify Kids is a kids friendly version of the music streaming app that is basically meant to give kids the ability to listen to whatever music they enjoy whilst also enabling parents to look into ensuring that they only ever listen to music that is not harmful for them in any way, shape or form. Another feature that Spotify is now rolling out is shared playlists except that on the Kids app these playlists are going to be curated by the parents.

This app is only available to those that have subscribed to the family premium version of the service, which means that the provision of parent curated playlists was the kind of thing that they would have undoubtedly been interested in. Parents are going to be able to share their love of music with their kids thanks to this new feature, all the while making it so that the music their kids listen to is wholesome without a shadow of a doubt. This new feature is going to go down quite well with lots of parents and it definitely cements Spotify’s place as a family friendly service that would facilitate a kid friendly experience for all of its users.
